H. H. Spahn
In January, 1899, the Rev. H. H. Spahn came to serve the charge, remaining for five years. The first mention of Rev. H. H. Spahn in the minutes of any church was April 15, 1899. He had his first communion service April 16, 1899, and served the charge until 1904. According to the Rev. Frederick Rupley, Pastor Emeritus of Trinity United Church of Christ, Lewistown, Rev. Spahn was instrumental in organizing that church. He writes:
" On the nineteenth of November, 1901, the entire committee met in Lewistown, and under the leadership of Brother Spahn, we made a thorough canvas of all the families and found those who were willing to go into the organization. We secured a hall, and on the evening of the 20th of November, we held services."
Rev. H. H. Spahn resigned from our charge in 1904. He later applied to retake the charge after Rev. F. W. Brown resigned, but his application was denied.
